The client, Standard fireworks, India, is the largest and India’s No.1 pyrotechnic company, manufacturing high quality firework products. They have 30 factories and 15 large depots for their business across India. Having established its operations in 1942, the company continues to set new benchmarks in product innovation in the Indian fireworks industry. The company has expanded its reach across the traditional retail and modern trade channels and has a strong network of over 1000 distributors

Challenges

In 2009 the client was using a distributed application and mostly manual processes for its Manufacturing, sales, inventory and distribution. The Profit Plus ERP helps India’s leading fireworks brand to gain real-time access by integrating 30 factories and 15 depots the data entry was manual and cumbersome for consolidating 30 factories, warehouses, delivery outlets and 15 sales depots with the head office. The process was time consuming and labour intensive as it required consolidating and compiling data to generate operation and management reports. Having failed multiple times with global ERP product, they had huge challenge in managing their business. The highly complex process of manufacturing, Unique and multiple discount schemes, varying shifts for factory workers of different categories and officers, integration of production to wages needed a unique solution. Another significant challenge the client faced was limited connectivity in their factories and warehouse locations. The client, hence wanted a single online platform to manage their business.
